Each year, I try to make at least one trip home in the summer. My parent’s place in the summer is it’s own little paradise, complete with hundreds of acres of rolling fields, two adorable border collies, a pool, hammock, and some pretty epic places to watch the sunset.
However, it’s not just the amenities I go home for; it’s the memories I’ve made there over my lifetime that are nestled in each part of home.
Living so far away has embedded a much stronger appreciation for the little things that make home what it is. While there are no mountains or scenic ocean views, there is an unwavering warmth that radiates from every wall, every floorboard, and every blade of grass of this place.
Below are some shots I took while at home this past week.

I also had the opportunity to play around with some portrait work this time home which was definitely a creative breath of fresh air. I’ve had a few portrait ideas in mind for some time now and was finally able to execute them, thanks to some amazing models!
